Alice Jean Willow, 75, of Sun City, Arizona passed away on May 23, 2014. Alice was born April 11, 1939 and raised in Cranston and Warwick, Rhode Island. She lived a good part of her life in Phoenix, and worked as a nurse before retiring to care for her parents Mildred and Frank Willow. Alice was a force of nature. She loved cruises, a good gin and tonic, a crispy chile relleno, and parties of all sorts. Her biggest accomplishment was as loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her family. If there were two values that she will be remembered for it is her fierce loyalty and fighting spirit. She instilled both in her children and grandchildren. Those who knew her will never forget her. Alice is survived by her sister June Brannen of Sun City; her four children: Lynn Howard of Sun City, Fred Howard of Henderson, NV, Raf Duarte of Strawberry, AZ and June Giamanco of Phoenix; as well as 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held on Saturday May 31st at Best Funeral Home, 9380 W Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ, 85345 from 2-3 p.m., with a gathering of family and friends to follow. Please send flowers and arrangements to Best Funeral Home and condolences to bestfuneralservices.com.
