Date of Birth: November 10, 1932
Date of Death: July 15, 2022
Anna Lee Barron, age 89, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2022 in Glendale, AZ. Anna was born on November 10, 1932 in Leeton, MO to Norman F. and Mary (Marie) S. Cox (Epperson). Anna made her home in the Phoenix area for the last 55 years. Anna is survived by her son, Douglas S. Barron of New York, NY, and three daughters; Elizabeth J. Sesma of Phoenix, AZ, Jane M. Pettiette (Kevin) of Peoria, AZ, and Laurie A. Stanek (Scott) of Chaska, MN. She is also survived by two brothers; William Cox (Patsy), Gerald Cox (Kay), and a sister, Nadine Gist; her grandchildren, Danielle Coates, Nicole Haysler, Barron Mullender (Faith), Bobby Mullender (Ashlee), Brett Stanek and Sarah Bystrom (Lee) and eight great-grandchildren. Anna grew up on a farm in a small town in Missouri as one of eight children. Growing up on a farm instilled in her a strong work ethic. She was incredibly loyal and always impressed her children to follow the golden rule. She worked for over 25 years as a bookkeeper, then worked until she was 80 in a receptionist position. She found a family-oriented business that allowed her to work without having to learn how to use those dumb computers. She loved that job and her coworkers. Anna was a loyal friend and always concerned about the well-being of others. Anna loved ballroom dancing and spent much of her life teaching and participating in local community dances. Anna loved to play cards and games with family and friends and could roll a Yahtzee on demand. Mostly, Anna enjoyed caring for and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Our sincerest sympathies to each of the family. 🌹 Anna Lee was a truly amazing woman. She was dearly loved by all who knew her. My mother (Mary V Clark-Saxton) spoke of such wonderful memories all these cousins shared. Prayers for each of you. 🙏
Our prayers go out to Ann’s family and friends. I worked with Ann for many years at American Financial Lending. She will be missed.
May she rest in peace and dance her heart out in heaven!
I was lucky enough to work with Anne (as we knew her) for several years. She was the glue that held the office together and made us and our families all feel special. She was a dear, kind and witty lady who loved to laugh and will not be forgotten. Godspeed my friend 💚
Our hearts go out to Anne’s family. I worked with Anne for about 20 years while she worked as bookkeeper at the insurance agency in Phoenix. We were good friends and went to play bingo together. I still have a table she gave me and my husband. You’re in our prayers for God’s comfort and love. We will miss her.
