Arlene Joyce Beasley (Sprague), a beloved mother, sister and friend of many, entered fully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 30th, 2021 at the age of 78 in Phoenix Arizona. Arlene was born in Hiawatha, Kansas to parents Donald Lee Sprague and Leota Arlene Sprague (Schober) on June 19th, 1942. Soon to follow was her brother James Donald Sprague in 1948 which she loved and adored. Arlene grew up on the family farm in Kansas until the age of 10 when the family moved to Phoenix in 1952. Arlene attended Washington High School and graduated with the class of 1960. While there she met the love of her life, Charles Wayne Beasley. They married soon after graduation and started a family together. From this marriage came two sons, Michael Wayne Beasley born in 1961 and Daniel Glenn Beasley born in 1965. Tragically, Arlene became widowed in 2008 when she lost her husband of 48 years to heart failure. Tragedy struck again in 2013 when she lost her oldest son Michael to complications of Diabetes. Arlene worked at the Maricopa County Adult Probation Department for 20 years when she entered retirement in 2009. In retirement, Arlene enjoyed volunteering at the food pantries of local churches in her area and helping other families in need. Arlene's favorite way to enjoy her retirement was playing slot machines at the local casinos. Over the years she was given several cruises, all paid for by the casinos, which she enjoyed taking with her best friend and co-worker Phyllis. Arlene is survived by her son Daniel Glenn Beasley and brother James Donald Sprague. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Wayne Beasley, son Michael Wayne Beasley and her beloved parents Donald Lee Sprague and Leota Arlene Sprague. Arlene will be greatly missed!
