Barbara Nell (Boyd) Bone, age 72, passed away on February 2, 2013.  She was born on July 27, 1940 in Grandfield, Oklahoma, daughter of Jally and Lucy Boyd.  She attended elementary and high schools in Lawton and Faxon, Oklahoma and graduated from Yuma Union High School in Yuma, Arizona in 1958.  Barbara and Jerald Bone met on August 24, 1957.  They were married 54 years until her death.  They moved from Yuma to Phoenix, Arizona in January 1966.  She is preceded in death by her parents Jally and Mary Lucy Boyd, her sisters Edythe Anderson, Dorothy Potts and brothers George, Louis and Weldon.  She was an active member of North Phoenix Baptist Church in Phoenix from 1966 to 1997.  She worked with pre-school children for several years and has been a member of First Southern Baptist Church at Sahuaro Ranch in Glendale for many years.  Barbara was a very talented painter.  Several of her oil paintings are hanging on the walls of their home in Glendale.  She is survived by her husband Jerald; daughter Tonya (Bone) Best; son Jeffrey and daughter-in-law Cindy (Atwell) Bone; two (2) sisters Hazel Fitzsimmons of Heber, AZ, Mary Lou Bone and brother-in-law, James H. Bone of Glendale, AZ; two (2) grandsons Chad Best and wife Charity and Brandon Bone and wife Amanda; three (3) granddaughters, Heather (Best) Engebrethsen and husband Lars, Brittany (Bone) Smith and husband Dustin, and Mary Bone; Five (5) great-grandchildren, Cameron Bone, Vannah Caumeran, Aiden Smith, Avery and Brody Best; several cousins, nieces and nephews living in Oklahoma and Arizona; nephew Anthony, wife Diana Bone, son Jimi and daughter Gracie of Peoria, AZ; niece Kim (Bone) Cott, husband Jordan and daughter Reily of Phoenix, AZ.  Private burial services will be in Lakeside, AZ.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of the Valley or First Southern Baptist Church at Sahuaro Ranch.
