Bobbie Faye Keeney, 89, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on June 23, 2022. Bobbie was born in Texas, December 1, 1932. The eldest of 4 siblings, she moved to Reedley, CA where she married and had 3 children. In 1960, she moved to Reno Nevada where she worked at her family TexMex Restaurant 'The Tux' and Sparks Nugget Circus Room as a waitress. Bobbie lived in Atlanta GA, then Fort Thomas KY, before settling in Phoenix where she became very involved in the Heard Museum doing volunteer work. She loved storytelling and sharing her talent with children visiting the Museum and during special events. She made many visits to the Northern Arizona Indian Tribe, where she became known as Conejo (rabbit), a name she took particular delight in because it described the look of her front teeth. Her eldest grandchildren have many memories of their trips to visit the Tribes and learn about their history. A talented artist, Bobbie loved sharing her knowledge by teaching others, displaying her creations at the AZ State Fair and donating drawings to The Mayo Clinic. Bobbie is preceded in death by her brother Charles Keeney, daughter Donna Johnson and grandson Zach Johnson. She leaves behind her brother Robert Keeney (Sharon) and sister Debbie (Ronnie); daughter Linda Greenslade and son Michael Greenslade (Maribeth); 5 grandchildren: Damon Johnson (Kjersti); Michael (Elyse), Eli, Matthew and Meghan Greenslade; and 8 great-grandchildren: Brianna Fields (Chas), Demi, Sedona, and Jeremiah Johnson; Morrigan and Alton Greenslade; Chloe and Connor Greenslade.
