Brent Everett Basham, age 55, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away at 12:01 am Friday, September 15, 2017, at Hospice of the Valley with his parents, brother, and sister-in-law at his bedside. Brent’s valiant fight against pancreatic cancer began March, 2017. He was lovingly supported by many friends and family members.
Brent is survived by his son, Jeremy Richard Basham, his parents, Del and Bonnie Anderson, his brothers Scott Basham (Stacy), Kenny Basham (Sandra), his sisters Lori Ann Austin (Roger) and Lisa Marie Doran, and step-siblings, Debra Wolniak, Jennifer Becwar, and Kevin Anderson.
Brent was a beloved uncle to seven nieces: Brittany, Brianne, Brooklyn, Nicole, Ashley, Lindsay, and Lacey; and three nephews: Joshua, Trevor, and Danny. He is also survived by 13 great nieces and nephews; his uncles: Ron Bilyou and Robert Mann; his aunt, Bobbi Weisbach; and many beloved cousins. His father, Everett Basham and three aunts preceded him in death.
Brent’s life was filled with special friends who miss him dearly. He was devoted to his family, friends, health and fitness and his Scottsdale based start-up IT company. Brent was a man of many passions that included running, hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, music, and exercise. His favorite pastimes were time spent with his son and family and they will greatly miss his love, laughter and light. He is best remembered for his bright smile, his huge heart, and his undying love for his precious son and family.
In accordance with Brent’s wishes, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of gifts or flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of the Valley, 9435 W. Peoria Avenue, Peoria, AZ 85345-6479
