Bruce D Bell,68, of Surprise,Az succumbed to a long term illness in the early morning hours on March 11,2019 in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his family. Bruce was born in Boston ,Massachusetts on Jan 1.1.1951 to Alice Singletary and David J Bell Jr. Surviving him was his loving wife Pauline Bell ,and 2 children Christina K Mcwilliams and Bruce D Bell Jr. Bruce also leaves behind his dearest big brother David Bell and Jeff Bell, sisters Judy Hodges , Tracy Serrero and Debra Maxey along with his loving 6 grandchildren Todd “Taylor” Mcwilliams, Brandon McWilliams, Kevin Mcwilliams, Andrew Bell and Riley Bell. His daughter in law Elizabeth Bell and granddaughter by marriage Leah Mcwilliams. Bruce served our great country in the US Airforce for 4 years from 1968-1972. He spoke of his time in the military and was very proud to have served for his country. Bruce soon after Met Pauline In 1973 and remained married through out the rest of his life . During their 46 years of marriage he and his wife loved to travel, go camping ,fishing, spend time together doing things they loved including spending time with their extended family and loving grandchildren. Bruce was a heavy duty diesel mechanic for the City Of Phoenix for over 30 years where he would retire from. He was recognized for being the Top Mechanic and taking 1st place for his superior performance on the job on many occasions. Bruce was Best know to his family as “Uncle Dave “ his love for the Beatles and telling jokes. He loved life and always went the extra mile to do so many things for everyone. He lived his life to the fullest with a smile on his face and ALWAYS laughing and making others laugh too. Those who knew him loved him and all that he was.

Service Information

Funeral services for Bruce will be held at Best Funeral Services, 9380 West Peoria Az 85345, on March 19 starting at 10 to 12 for a closed casket visitation. Funeral Ceremony from 12 to 1 pm . Burial proceedings to follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. 23029 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix AZ 85024. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his honor to Alzheimer’s association.
