Date of Death: July 07, 2020

Carol Ann Wilcox (Newbury), 58, of Glendale, AZ, died July 7th, 2020. Born in Fort Hood, Texas, on June 21st, 1962. She was married to Gary Duane Wilcox for 33 years, and together they had four children. Her devotion to her children was second to none. Her love extended to her grandson, her many pets, and to so many others. Mom provided a loving home, a place for all to feel safe and supported. She treated everyone as family with an incredible capacity to make people feel accepted. Those lessons she passed down to her children. We can still hear her saying, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." As a lifelong learner, she attended college with, and tutored, not only her sister and friends, but her children as well. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family. Christmas and Halloween were anticipated all year. Mom adored Disney (especially Coco), M&M's, decorative tins, pennies, Lego sets, stamps, and traveling. Her next adventure was always on the horizon. Whether it be visiting family, amusement parks, genealogy sites, or to go sightseeing, she always had travel plans. She was fascinated with tracing family ancestry and incorporated genealogy stops into her trips. Her longing for travel began at a young age. Her best childhood memories were from time spent with her grandparents in France. She is missed and loved by her family: Gary (spouse); Gavin (son); Rebekah (daughter-in-law); Samuel (grandson); Jerrid (son); Lucie (daughter); Kayla (daughter); Janet (sister); Leon (brother-in-law); Malena (soul sister); and Michelle and Liz (sisters reunited in 2015). She was preceded in death by her late husband, Kenneth "Kent" Drechsler, and her parents.
