Cheryl A. Iovanella, 56, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on March 28, 2020 at her home. Born on March 3, 1964 in New Castle, Pennsylvania, Cheryl was the daughter of the late Patsy C. and Mary Jane (Frengel) Iovanella. After graduation from Lawrence County Vocational-Technical School in 1983, Cheryl studied at the LARK Workshop until she moved to Butler, Pennsylvania in 1986. Training at PARC Productions led to a 25 year career as a Crew Member at McDonald’s. In 2017, Cheryl moved to Phoenix, Arizona to reside with her sister, Renee and her family. Cheryl enjoyed her family and friends, working at McDonald’s, movies, roller coasters, reading, and television. She was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers. While in Arizona, she loved to attend Arizona Diamondback baseball games, and NAU Lumberjack football games. Cheryl is survived by three sisters, Mary Jo Grinder (John) of Maineville, Ohio, Patricia Sansone (Randy) of New Castle, Pennsylvania, and Renee Hunsaker (Eric) of Phoenix, Arizona and one brother, Frank Iovanella (Brenda) of Dearborn Heights, Michigan. She is also survived by eight nieces, Melanie Kruth, Jessica Iovanella, Lauren Brewer, Christina McCaskey, and Kendall, Alesha, Kayleigh, and Erica Hunsaker, and one nephew, Nicholas Sansone. In addition, she is survived by great nieces Ella and Avery Kruth, Hanna Brewer, and Elle McCaskey, and great nephews Benjamin Brewer and Adam McCaskey.

Service Information

A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be celebrated at St. Rose Philippine Duchesne in Anthem, Arizona on Tuesday, November 17th @ 3pm. The service will be live-streamed at – search St. Rose Anthem AZ . Cheryl will be interred on Friday, November 19th at St. Lucy Cemetery, 9th St., New Castle, PA 16102 at 11am. Her family will gather at 10:30am for family and friends to offer condolences from the safety of their cars.
