Clinton Lynn Reynolds peacefully began his next existence on the morning of Monday, October 30. He was a Valentine hillbilly born in the mountains of Pennsylvania on February 14, 1933. He graduated from Southwestern High School in Jamestown, NY, then was drafted into the Navy. He was married to the cheerleader who stole his heart cheering for him in high school, Carol Ann Patton. They celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary last July 18. Their life together moved them from upstate NY to VA to Cincinnati, OH to Los Angeles, CA to Flagstaff, AZ to Dallas and Galveston, TX, then back to Meadville, PA and finally to Phoenix and Sun City, AZ. Clint was a champion of human rights (marching with MLK in Selma and Washington, DC and with others for various causes in other parts of the country), a minister, a psychologist, director of several mental health clinics, a peace envoy to Russia, a hospice spiritual advisor, and a fierce supporter of the need to defend our Earth from pollution and the causes of climate change. He fought tirelessly and loved fiercely, yet he promoted kindness and peace. Among the many grieving his passing are his wife, Carol; 2 sisters in upstate NY, Kathryn Beardsley and Golda Rapp; a brother in VA, Clifford (Helen); a brother- and sister-in-law in upstate NY, Charles and Carol Patton; a daughter, Debra (Johnny) Chavez from Phoenix; 3 sons Gregory (Maria) Reynolds from Adelaide, Australia; Jeffrey (Lynne) Reynolds from Glendale, AZ; and Berton (Elizabeth) Reynolds from Milton, DE.
