Daisy Elizabeth Comer, 69, lost her battle with Primary Progressive Aphasia and Alzheimer's Disease on June 11, 2020 in Sun City West, AZ. Born in Greenville, SC on August 18, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Edward Arnette Comer, Sr. and Florence Elizabeth Pittendreigh Comer. She grew up attending Greenville ARP Church. She earned an associate’s degree from Greenville Technical College and a BA from Mary Baldwin College before graduating from Averett College with a MBA. Daisy worked for Famous Foods of Virginia/Interbake Foods in Virginia and Michigan before joining the H.C. Brill Company in Atlanta, GA until her retirement in 2007. Upon retirement, she used a hobby and talent to create Stained Glass by Miss Daisy which featured her original and commissioned pieces for purchase. Daisy loved old movies, golf and was devoted to her family and friends. She was deeply loved by all and will be remembered for her beautiful smile and great laugh. She is survived by her brothers, Gordon L. Comer (Mary Jane) of Winston-Salem, NC, and twin, John W. Comer (Candi) of Sun City West, AZ; sister-in-law, Charlotte Comer of Dallas, TX; nieces and nephews, Lisa Whiteley, Brad Comer, Mary Leslie English, Carrie Phillips, Blake Comer, Caroline Escobar, Sarah Comer and Michael Comer. Many great nieces and nephews and cousins also survive her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Edward A. Comer, Jr. and grand nephew Morgan Bradley Whiteley.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on July 25, 2020 at the Woodlawn Memorial Park in Greenville, SC
