Dale Robert Pennington, age 68, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 14th, 2022 at his home in Phoenix, AZ. Dale was born in Hamilton, OH and graduated from Lakota High School in West Chester, OH. After leaving Ohio, Dale briefly lived in Colorado before moving to Arizona in 1973 where he found his true home. For most of Dale's life he worked in commercial construction doing sheet metal and air conditioning work as a foreman and was most excited to be involved in the construction of the Bank One Ball Park for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Dale was also a certified instructor at the local community college in the Trades department. He loved all things cars and racing and also spent many of his weekends at the local dirt tracks racing in several stock car classes over the years. He also enjoyed playing cards, dominoes, Liars Dice with friends and family as well as Pass the Pigs with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Christy Pennington; father Merrill Pennington of Arizona; mother Jacqueline Ashton of Florida: two sisters Kim (Bill) Dennis of Arizona, Noami Jean (David) Willick of Florida; one brother Douglas Pennington of Arizona, a son Sheldon Pennington and daughter-in-law Carla; two stepchildren Jacson Murone of California and Tia (Shane) Brown-McKutchen of Michigan, three grandchildren Kylee, Andrew and Allison; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other close family and friends. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents Burtchell and Lillie; maternal grandparents Arthur and Juanita.

Services will be held on Saturday, May 28th, 2022 at Best Funeral Services located at 501 E Dunlap Ave. Phoenix, AZ. at 11AM.
