Date of Birth: November 05, 1962

Date of Death: April 05, 2021

Dana Brett Glawe passed into Heaven to be with the Lord, on April 5, 2021. He was at Emmanuel Campus of Care in Peoria, Arizona. He was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up in Boulevard Park and Des Moines. He attended Mt. Rainier High School in Des Moines. When Dana was young, he loved playing soccer and baseball. He also enjoyed roller hockey and horse back riding, and had a paper route. When he was older, he had various jobs in restaurants, and also did dry wall work for a short time with a friend who had their own business. In 2004, he came to Arizona, to see his sister. That same year, he was hit by a car on the freeway, leaving him with a traumatic brain injury, and the inability to walk again. Once reunited with his sister and her family in 2005, they remained close. He resided at Next Genesis Care Home for the last several years of his life, where he was very well cared for, and his family is forever grateful. He was able to enjoy Bingo and other board games. He loved to lift free weights, play pool, and watch the Cardinals Football and Diamondbacks Baseball games. He also got to go out to eat with the residents of the group home, go to movies, and even went to a baseball game or two. He enjoyed going to church with his sister and brother in law, and loved going out to eat afterwards. He had accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized in 2006. Dana is preceded in death by a daughter, Kristena Roberta Woolery (4 months), parents, Marge and Rusty Glawe, and 3 brothers, Vance, Barry, and Tyler. He is survived by 3 children, Billy Moore, Joel Glawe, and Lacey Amond, and 4 grand children, all in the Seattle area. Also, his sister, Lita Jo Thomas and her husband Rick Thomas, in Laveen Arizona, 3 nieces, 2 nephews, and several great nieces and nephews. In all his long term care, Dana was a trooper. He rarely complained, though he could be very contrary, always apologizing afterwards. He had a quick sense of humor, and was always thankful. We are ever grateful he came back into our lives.
