Date of Birth: November 07, 1952

Date of Death: August 19, 2023

David Rada, 70 years old, died peacefully in his home in Peoria, Arizona, surrounded by love on August 19th, 2023. David was a trailblazer. Born in Pasadena, California, he was raised with his large blended family in Pendleton, Oregon. There, he forged friendships that lasted his whole life. Leaving home at 15, David toured with several bands including Beggar’s Opera, Silverhill, and, most famously, Masters of the Airwaves which was signed to Epic Records and toured the United States. A self-taught drummer, he loved playing his drums hard and fast and felt at home in nightclubs and in front of crowds of fans. He played rock and roll music his whole life, but explored Latin, jazz, and other styles as he matured in his practice. He had twins, Jeremy and Shaun, when he was young, and later, two daughters, Jennifer and Julie. Family responsibilities led him into the insurance and financial planning business, where he enjoyed success as a self-employed business owner for decades, supporting hundreds of clients in building financial legacies. He moved from Portland, Oregon, to Peoria, Arizona, in 1985 and which he has called home since. In Arizona, he built an enduring community of friends, played golf, hunted, explored the desert and mountains, and eventually met his life partner, Lori, and his stepson, Dominick. Fun loving, David held season tickets to Diamondbacks baseball games and, in his later years, played pool on a tournament league. He loved to learn and read, was always growing, and enjoyed creative pursuits of all kinds. He traveled to foreign countries, ate any kind of food, and reveled in pleasure and beauty. He had a passionate lust for life that took him on many adventures and kept him excited about what was around the bend. David is survived by his wife, Lori Mangieri, stepson Dominick Lorenzo, daughter Jennifer Rada, daughter Julie Rada, son Jeremy Odneal and his children and grandchildren, and his siblings, Nicolette Evans, JoLynn Walker, Grace Rada, and John Rada. David lived an abundant life of love, and he will be greatly missed.
