Dr. Asher Dahl, of Phoenix, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on October 28, 2023, at the age of 95. He was born August 23, 1928 on the family farm near Colby, Kansas. Asher was a honorable, hardworking doctor for 36 years and a loving husband, father and grandfather. His medical practice included 28 years at the Colby Medical Clinic where he treated the folks of his home town (Colby) and the surrounding areas. He finished his medical career serving as a Locum Tenens Physician traveling to varies communities in Colorado and Iowa. He gave generously to those around him in both deed and prayer. Most importantly, he loved the Lord and dedicated his life to studying the Word of God, worshipping Jesus in song and prayer, and serving where ever the Lord led. Asher is survived by his wife, Susie Barkman Dahl, his son Larry Dahl (Ava) - Arizona, daughter Karen Lile - Arizona, stepchildren - David Barkman (Eileen) - Japan, Elizabeth Nussbaum (John) - Alaska, Martha Hayward (Steve) - Texas. Daniel Barkman (Peggy) - North Dakota, Jacob Barkman (Jennifer) - Alaska, Philip Barkman (Miko) - Japan. His is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces and beloved in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents - Dave and Clara Dahl, his first wife - Ruth Dahl, his son Dr Dale Dahl and other treasured family members. Asher will be greatly missed by his family, his friends and the children of his church. In Lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made in Asher's honor to Samaritan's Purse - Israel Projects.
