Dudley Wayne Roberson, 79, husband of Barbara Jean Roberson of Phoenix, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 peacefully at home. Born, August 22, 1940, in Calallen, Texas, he was a son of the late J.D. Roberson and Opal Muncy Roberson. He graduated Calallen High School, class of 1958, he served in the US Army as an aircraft mechanic and spent 1 year in Korea on foreign duty. He later worked and owned several businesses, including lawn and garden, home construction and remodeling, gold mining and processing, cabinetry, and parts manager for Texas Capitol Semiconductor. Dudley had an uncanny ability to make people laugh. There wasn’t a person he met that he couldn’t make friends with. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased in death by his brother Jimmy Derrel Roberson. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, of Phoenix, daughter Letitia Bargman of Phoenix, daughter Deadra Cobia and her husband Thomas Cobia of Palmer, AK, daughter Desiree Roberson of Phoenix, and son Joseph Roberson and his wife Mandy Roberson of Greenville, SC; 5 grandsons and 3 granddaughters, Ira, Clyde, Newton, Brody, Luca, Charlene, Gwendolyn, and Isla; along with many nieces and nephews. His kindness, great stories, jokes, and laughter will be missed by many.
