Edgar Perry Broach Jr., 92, of Tempe, passed away on February 13, 2014 in Tempe, AZ. He was born on August 29, 1921 to the late Edgar and Stella (Kidwell) Broach in Mount Vernon, TX. In 1942 Ed enlisted with the US Navy serving during World War II earning the World War II Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon. In 1950 he attended West Coast University securing his certificate as a Diesel Engine Mechanic later working for Southwest Forest Industries. On October 2, 1954 he married Eileen June Warren in Las Vegas, NV. Ed was a Mason for numerous years. Ed is survived by his loving spouse of almost 60 years, Eileen; daughter, Rhonda Lee (Alan Dennis) Larson of Tempe, AZ; grandchildren, Douglas Matthew Larson, Natalya Beth Larson, Nyah Renee Larson; a brother, Charles “Chuck” (Rena) Broach; and a sister, Sherri (Wesley) Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Perry and Stella Lee Broach; and four sisters, Florine Knox, Jean Baxter, Juanita Mitchell, and Maxine Fish. Interment with Military Honors will be held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 10:30 am on Monday, February 24, 2014.
