On Monday October 26, 2020, Elfa Mosch-Ovitsky Bauman, loving wife and friend, passed away at the age of 96. Elfa was born on April 18, 1924 in Ruffsdale, PA to William and Elfa Blanche Mosch. Elfa worked as an administrative assistant at Robertshaw Controls in New Stanton, PA for over 30 years before retiring in 1989. In Year 2000, Elfa and her husband Chester Bauman relocated to Sun City, AZ to enjoy their retirement years. Elfa had a passion for sewing - crafting myriad one-of-a-kind fashion pieces. Elfa loved the outdoors where she enjoyed walking and hiking. She loved reading and was always on top of current events. She was known for always keeping busy – at work, at home and at leisure. Elfa was preceded in death by her husband Chester (“Chet”), first husband Mike (Ovitsky), her father William, her mother and namesake Elfa Blanche and her brother Carl. She is survived by four step-children Gwen (Loughner), Robert, Eric and Todd, cousins Pauline (Taylor) and Lisa (Salinas) and many other cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service is being held on Friday, November 6 at 11am at the Peace Lutheran Church in Peoria, Arizona. Elfa’s remains will be interred alongside husband Chet’s at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
