Date of Death: November 01, 2019
Evelyn Margaret Montalvo Aguila was born on October 17, 1955 in San Juan Rizal, Philippines. She was the seventh child out of nine of the late Colonel Bernardo Aguila and Rufina Montalvo. By the young age of 8, she experienced the loss of her mother and was raised by her older siblings in Cubao. From kindergarten to high school, she attended Stella Maris College. By the age of 21, she migrated to the United States with her family. Evelyn worked as a test technician in California for over 25 years until she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. Then in 2010, she moved to Arizona and left her job to raise her grandchildren. She loved to cook, dance, sing, go out to eat, go shopping, watch movies, teach her grandchildren about Jesus Christ and most of all spend time with her family. She was the matriarch and spiritual leader of her family. She always had a smile, something funny to say or had words of wisdom to share. Her unconditional love for Jesus Christ showed through her great generosity and immense love to serve her family and others in need. Through it all, she remained faithful, strong and resilient. On Friday, November 1, 2019 Evelyn went home to be with the Lord, Jesus Christ. She is survived and will forever cherish her memory by her daughters, Kristine Ramos and Kimberly Sosa; her son in love, Saul Sosa; her grandchildren: Caitlyn, Kylie, Jakob and Camille Sosa; her brothers, Napoleon, Carlos, Benedicto and Honorato Aguila; and her many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Memorial to celebrate her legacy will be held at 11AM on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in the Prayer Pavilion at Dream City Church located on 13613 North Cave Creek Road Phoenix, AZ 85022. Please arrive at least 30 minutes early and do not dress in black.
