Floyd Laverne Johnson, 90, of Phoenix passed away on March 1, 2012. He is survived by his wife Marilyn, 8 Children, Marilee, Duane, Mark, Melinda, Eric, Wendy, Rick, and Rhonda, 23 Grandchildren and 23 Great-Grandchildren. Floyd was born on November 10, 1921 in Des Moines, IA. He married Marilyn Elefson on August 12, 1943. Floyd served in the Navy during WWII as Chief Petty Officer. After leaving the Navy, Floyd started his own appliance repair business in Des Moines, IA and went on to a career in the electrical industry. He also took pleasure in farming part time on a small farm near Walker, IA. A memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Beatitudes Life Center in Phoenix, AZ.
Floyd enjoyed his kids, grand kids, great grand kids, hunting, fishing, and camping. Floyd and Marilyn retired to AZ in 1992
