Date of Birth: November 11, 1927
Date of Death: April 22, 2020
On April 22, 2020, at the age of 92, God reached for the hand of his humble servant, Frank Bonk and brought him home to Heaven. A devout Catholic of St. Paul's Catholic Church, whose faith was strong and visible thru the numerous organizations he devoted his time and talent for over 30 years... Saint Vincent de Paul, Harvest House, Prison Ministry, Men's Club, weekly usher and one of the original "Thursday Boys" who volunteered Thursdays to do odd jobs around the church. Always the handyman and mechanic whose advice was sought by many, he was honest and hard working and worked as a diesel mechanic on the railroad for most of his career. He is welcomed into heaven with polkas and dancing, which he loved, by his parents John and Veronica Bonk and 8 brothers and sisters, two of which were priests. He was proud of his Slovak heritage and Pennsylvania roots which instilled strong values for family and faith. He was a life long Steelers fan! Frank is survived by his loving wife Mary, of almost 65 years, daughter Patricia and four nieces. He was a very special man, a loving, faithful and devoted husband, a wonderful dad and loved and admired by many. He was an inspiration to those who saw him working out at the gym at 92! We cherished him, as he did us and we will miss him dearly, but know he is in the loving arms of God and we will see him again!
At a later date due to the coronavirus.
