Mr. Gerald Allen “Jerry” Miniear Jr, son of the late Gerald Allen Miniear Sr. and Madeline Irene Miniear, was called to heaven to be with our Lord and Savior July 24, 2021. He was born September 22, 1938, in Mt Morris Michigan was a graduate of Mt Morris High School. Entered the Air Force and after 20 years retired as a MSGT of Security Police OJT. He was united in holy matrimony to Margaret Mary Kellogg February of 1962. Margaret preceded him in death on May 5, 2019. After leaving Military Service, Jerry moved to Arizona and was a bus driver for Phoenix Transit. He was an active member of Maranatha Baptist Church leading the bus ministry and winning young souls to Jesus. He was out visiting every Saturday and driving the church bus to pick up the children on Sunday. As a result of his generous spirit, laughter, and pleasant personality he was loved by many. His influence will ever remain in the lives of all who knew him. His hobbies included fishing, camping, baseball, basketball, football, and golf. He was very proud of his coaching success teaching kids the game of baseball. He attributes his success to playing pepper with his dad. Jerry enjoyed shooting hoops with the grandkids, going on trips in the dually hauling the fifth wheel and fly fishing on the Manistee River. He loved letting the grandkids help him make his famous pancakes and enjoyed all our family gatherings. Our dad was always there if we ever needed him, no matter what. There were many times we would pop in and find him reading his bible and taking in the word of God. We are so blessed to have a Dad that loved the Lord and taught us the importance of knowing Jesus. We love you and miss you more than words can express. This isn't goodbye, it's until we meet again!! His life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children, Marge, Patty (Scott), and Peggy (Scott), grandchildren Rachel, Bobby, Jonathan, Jessica and Austin, siblings Art (Diane).
