On November 7, 2023, while surrounded by her family at home, Lupe got her wings and went to walk with the Angels. She was 73 years old. Born in Artesia, New Mexico she grew up caring for her family at the young age of 8 years old. She helped take care of twelve siblings (6 brothers, 6 sisters). Two sisters (Mary Helen, Nancy) went to the lord in childhood before her. She was part of a championship softball team and a straight A student while in school. Selflessly she left school after the 8th grade to work and help her parents household. She later received her education and worked at Honeywell Bull, traveling the world (Italy, England, Scotland, New York) assembling computers. She was married in 1974, had 3 boys, that she was very proud of. Later on in life her and her late husband Fernando adopted a son at the age of 58. She was a very kind soul, that would always plant seeds of kindness everywhere she went. She was a Eucharistic minister, helping, feeding, clothing, friends, family, and the community. Lupe is survived by her sons Fernando (Valerie), Orlando, Joshua (Maria), and Ruben. She had five grandchildren (Luis, Isaiah, Joshua Jr, Nevaeh, and Azariah) that she loved with all her heart. She is also survived by her siblings Julie (David), Carmen (Adolfo), Albert (Lisa), Maggie (Vince), Isaac (Sandra), Lyssa, Manuel (Sandra), Robert, Eddie, and Michael.

Service Information

A viewing will be held at Best Funeral 9380 W. Peoria Ave on November 21st from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held on November 22nd, at 10:00 A.M. at OLPH Roman Catholic Church 5614 W. Orangewood Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. Burial will be held at Resthaven Cemetery at 11:30 A.M. A reception will follow at the Women's Club of Glendale at 7032 N. 56th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301.
