Horace McCain, (77), of Phoenix, AZ passed away peacefully on March 4, 2023. Horace was born to parents Robert and Lezonia McCain on March 4, 1946 in Anniston, AL. He married his best friend and love of his life, Geri in 1970, who survives him. Loving father of Jennifer McCain-Bowen, Sonya McCain, Rob McCain (Lyndsey) and Tim McCain (Kymm), Ronald McCain Proud grandfather of Simone, Olivia, Maddie, Haley and JerMichael. Brother of Mary, Sonny, Charles, Thomas and Dean. Horace was predeceased by his parents Robert and Lezonia, brothers, Ernest James, Robert Jr and Billy Joe and son, Michael McCain. Throughout his life Horace never met a stranger. He loved sharing stories about his children and grandchildren, talking politics and reminiscing about his childhood memories, especially his first job at Jeffs. He enjoyed traveling the United States with his family and strived to be the best dressed wherever he went. Horace was the best Dad and Grandfather, never missing a game, school concert or any activity we were involved in. He encouraged us to do our best and supported us unconditionally. He loved model railroads and Disney almost as much as he loved his family. He was very artistic and creative, but couldn’t finish a project to save his life. On Saturdays he enjoyed watching college football or basketball. He loved all kinds of music and could be found sitting on his patio listening to the radio with the dogs and cat. The family expresses appreciation to the hardworking healthcare workers at the Banner Hospitals, Banner Rehabilitation West, Lumicare Hospice and Brookdale Memory Care.

We are so sorry for the loss of Hoarce. I have always had great memories of your Dad and the little talks he used to give us. They still stick with me today. My thoughts and prayers are with you and the whole family.
