Jay Bielert recently passed away at his home in Cave Creek, Arizona. Jay was born in Highland Park, Illinois. His parents, Karl F. Bielert and Mary Ellen Bielert, were longtime Highland Park residents. Jay was a third-generation student at Highland Park High School, where he played basketball. He spent his junior year in College in Madrid, Spain. He graduated with a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He also received a Master's degree from Thunderbird School of Business in Phoenix, Arizona. He was variously employed in the states of Illinois, Massachusetts, and Ohio, finally settling on Arizona. Up until his recent retirement, he directed Bielert & Company, focusing on accounting, financial consulting and tax preparation. Jay was a recreational gofer and an avid dog lover. He enjoyed studying history, traveling, and nature in general. He shared a variety of interests with his wife Esther, who describes him as being a loving and supportive husband. A compassionate, smart, fun, easy-going and friendly human being. He is survived by his wife Esther D. Bielert. HIs Brother, Craig F. Bielert, PhD., who resides in Oneonta, New York, and his wife, Constance and their grown children: Shiloh, Eva, Troy and Lorien. Craig describes his younger sibling as being a hardworking, honest, caring brother with whom he shared many great life experiences. Jay will be missed by his family and friends. His loss will require time and effort to adjust to, and is already being deeply felt.
