Jewel Kristiansen, of Glendale Az., spread her angel wings on November 11th 2023 at age 83. She passed away peacefully among family members. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and teacher. She was born in North Dakota, and loved growing up in a small town. She graduated with honors from Concordia College in Morehead Minnesota where she earned her BA in mathematics/education. She began teaching in 1963 at Peoria Central School . Peoria Az. She taught first and second grade in the Peoria School District for over 35 years. She was always very involved and active in her church, helping others and singing in the choir. She is survived by her brother Don, her children: Lisa Workman and Matthew Gutaw (wife Christy), grandchildren: Emily, Margaret, Christopher (wife Maria), Hunter, Mandy, and great-grandson Archer. Neices and nefew Joel, Linda, Shayla and Kelsey. She was preceded in death by her parents Hubert and Ethel, brother David and nieces Karen and Sara. Her love, generous nature, wonderful laugh and terrific personality will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Funeral Services will be held on December 12th at 11am with a luncheon to follow. St Johns Lutheran Church 7205 N 51st Ave Glendale Az 85301
