She was born to the late John Love and Joanna Volchiuwitch on March 13, 1933 in London England.
Shortly after Germany started routine bombings of England during World War II in 1939, she was evacuated to Perthshire Scotland with her older sister and brother.
Joan studied Secretarial courses at the College of Commerce and Law in London, England from 1948 to 1952 and relocated to Windsor, Canada in 1967 and then to Detroit, MI in 1968
Joan spent most of her life as an Executive Secretary and eventually attended Ottawa University in Phoenix, AZ obtaining a degree in Human Resources (Magna Cum Laude) in March of 1991.
Joan loved traveling, shopping, and crafts. She loved and enjoyed her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her sister, Irene Prignits of Phoenix, AZ, daughter Lesley K. Love and son William A. Douglass, both also of Phoenix, AZ. She is also survived by three Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren.
