So sad to know that Uncle Larry is gone, but glad that his many battles are now over and he is at peace. I have fond memories of times spent with the Goerger family when we would vacation in Minnesota. Condolences and love to Sharon, Nicole and Jordan and the rest of the family.
I have such fond memories of Uncle Larry and Auntie Shari and visiting their family in Eagan. Larry had an old pinball machine in his basement and I recall us kids playing games on it and drinking glass bottles of Bubble Up. There were a few 4th of Julys where our families picnicked at Larry and Shari’s, attended a county fair, and watched the fireworks, afterward. These are among my favorite memories of summers as a kid. May wonderful memories of Larry comfort and sustain you all as you move forward.
My love to you all,
Laurentia
As a cousin growing up together, I don’t remember a grump or grumble from him. He was always ready with a quick smile or laugh. The world would be a better place if there were more Larrys. Sending love to his family and extended family and especially Sharon, his life partner.
Remembering a favorite uncle—a model, for me, in his never-ending curiosity about the people and world around him. And in his pleasure in story-telling about his encounters. I have especially fond memories—being myself rich in sisters but brother-less—of those rare moments when I was around the Goerger boys all together, just taking in the conversation and interactions. And of visits to Apple Valley with Larry and Sharon, where they were always such great hosts.
Larry’s many kindnesses toward my Estonian grandparents in Minneapolis over the years were a godsend and greatly appreciated. Love and condolences to Sharon, Nicole, and Jordan.
