On Wednesday, November 20, 2019, Laurine Pedersen of St. Charles, Illinois and Phoenix, Arizona, passed away at age 84. Laurine was born on October 3rd, 1935 in St. Charles, IL. She had worked for Morton Salt for over 30 years during her adult life in the accounting department. She had a passion for quilting, as well as cooking and baking. She was a member of many quilt guilds during her life, and donated a large amount of her time to making quilts for churches and charities. She shared her gift for quilting with many of her friends and family, and was able to pass her talents down to some of her family members as well. Laurine was known for her wicked sense of humor, her kind and compassionate spirit, her devotion to her religious beliefs, and her incredible fried chicken. Laurine was preceded in death by her father, John, and her mother, Bernice. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Rusty and Joyce, Steve and Vita, and Cindy and John, as well as her six grandchildren Dan, Kevin, Keith, Kristen, Sara and Christopher, her sister Beverly, and her best friend, Abby the dog.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Friday, December 13th, 2019 at Best Funeral Services, 9380 W Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345. The service will be from 4pm-5pm, and a reception will follow at 1925 W Morning Vista Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85085.
