LeRoy was born in Poplar Bluff, MO to Lucille and Roy Thompson and later moved to Phoenix, AZ as a young boy. He has four children, (3) daughters Lucinda, Connie, and Sue and (1) son, Leroy Jr. He was married to the love of his life, Janith, for over 40 years. LeRoy has 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and is also survived by his younger brother Doyle. He was employed by B Bunch Company for 32 years until his retirement in 2001 at which time he relocated to Payson, AZ. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing, and going on trail rides in his dune buggies; even once "Robin Hooding" an arrow. LeRoy also enjoyed building and restoring cars and once got a hole-in-one in golf. He enjoyed spending time with his family and loved to talk about them any chance he got.
