Marcel Edward Skonezny
Marcel Edward Skonezny passed away on October 22, 2013. He was born in Depew, New York on October 25, 1924 and served in the U.S. Army in World War II. Marcel was an auto salesman and owned his own dealership in the Buffalo area. He was predeceased by his twin sister, Marcella (late Walter) Urbanek and by his first wife, Edith (Konwiczka) Skonezny. Marcel’s second wife, Mary Skonezny, passed away in 2004. Marcel lived his last 36 years in the Sun City area where he and Mary enjoyed golf and the company of many friends.
Marcel is survived by his son, Paul (Darlene) Skonezny, of Baldwinsville, New York, granddaughters Dawn (Brian) Kinville, and Joy (Craig) Doan, and great-grandchildren, Adam, Reagan, Evan and Mason and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving in Arizona are Pat (Rich) Paris and her sons, David and Michael of Ohio, Maryann (Larry) Wood, and her daughters, Dana (Mark) Keller of Alaska, and Jodi (Scott) Kaczynski.
A mass of Christian burial was held on his 89th birthday, October 25, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Roman Catholic Church in Baldwinsville. Marcel will be laid to rest in St. Augustine’s Cemetery in Lancaster, New York.
