Margaret Anne “Peggy” Kohlbrenner Simpson was born October 7, 1935 in Darby, Pennsylvania to Harry and Margaret Clark Kohlbrenner. She entered the gates of heaven November 17, 2021 reuniting with her mom and dad whom she talked about a lot the past couple of weeks. Peggy graduated from Ridley High School in 1953. After graduating she married Pvt. Olen “Sandy” Simpson on May 28, 1954. They remained in Pennsylvania until Pvt. Simpson was discharged from the army. Peggy always referred to her husband as Simpson. Simpson brought Peggy to Oklahoma where he was born and raised. They resided in southwest Oklahoma City and raised 4 children. Peggy retired from Western Electric after many years. She then began volunteering at Integris Southwest. She loved talking to people and this was just perfect for her. She received the Presidential Award for 10,000 volunteer hours in 2011. She visited, then moved to Sun City, Arizona and fell in love with the warm temperatures, bingo nights, Monday night card games with friends and no wind. She continued volunteer hours at Banner Health in Sun City for several years. She would ride her scooter around the block looking for someone to talk to, and usually found someone! Peggy loved attending softball games that her granddaughter and son-in-law played in. She attended First Baptist Church regularly with family on Sundays. Peggy supported her granddaughter in her sports career beginning with little league, high school, college, coaching, travel teams and up until the day of her passing she was always on the sideline telling her granddaughter to “keep it down.” Preceding her in death were her parents, her son Jeffrey Allen Simpson, and her husband. Peggy is survived by her children Sandra (Randy) Whitson of Oklahoma City, Jennifer (Jimmy) Alexander of Sun City, AZ and William Scott Simpson of Arizona. She had 2 grandchildren Lori Alexander of Sun City, AZ and Bill (Christine) of Arcadia, Oklahoma and two great-grandsons Asher and Liam Masopust of Arcadia, OK. Peggy also is survived by her 2 sisters Doris (Bill) Oats of Folsom, Pennsylvania and Harriet Kuberski of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews.
