Marilyn Joan Greenberg, age 90, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones, after a brief illness. Born on May 11, 1932 and raised in Toledo, OH by her parents James (1906 - 1988) and Marjorie Freeman (1911 - 2000) and also preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis Freeman (1930 - 2021), she was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School in Ottawa Hills, Ohio. Her first job was in a dental office in Toledo, Ohio and then Activities Director at Sunset House Retirement Home in Ottawa Hills for 10 years where her Father, James, worked as long-time Administrator. Marilyn moved to sunny Scottsdale, Arizona in 1984 along with her family. She worked in the front office of the dental practice of Dr. David Boca from 1984 - 2011, followed by McAdams Dental, retiring in 2012. Over the years, Marilyn most enjoyed and was often found cheering on her children and grandchildren at events, including motocross races, golf tournaments, bodybuilding competitions, basketball games, horse shows and music/band concerts and competitions among many other activities. She was also Grandma/Grammy to many dogs over the years whom she loved as much as they loved her. Her passion in life was her family and she is survived by and was a devoted Mother to her three sons, Jeff (Kathy), Scott (Keli) and David (Dawn), Grandmother to three grandchildren, Erin Mock (Matthew), Kyle Greenberg and Lauren Greenberg and Great Grandmother to one great granddaughter, Blair Greenberg. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
