Mark Craig Goodman passed away unexpectedly on March 6th, 2013 at the age of 58 from an aorta dissection. He was born in Manhasset, New York, to parents Jerome and Frances Goodman. He graduated in 1972 from Walt Whitman High School, and went on to graduate from the University of Arizona in 1977.
After graduating from the U of A, he went back to New York and attended broadcasting school. He spent a little time working in the furniture industry, was a ring announcer for professional wrestling, sold air time for KRST radio in Albuquerque, New Mexico and then ventured back into the furniture industry as an independent sales rep.
A year ago Mark underwent a bone marrow transplant after battling Multiple Myeloma (cancer) for a year. He was in full remission.
Mark is survived by his wife Kelly of 15 years; son, Jonathan; daughter, Sarah; his mom, Frances Koster; stepdad, Martin Koster; a brother, Scott Goodman (Cheryl) and two sisters, Patrice Auerbach (Rick) and Lauren Pulver (Brad); a nephew Jeffrey; and two nieces, Stevie and Lindsay. He was pre-deceased by his father, Jerome Goodman.
Mark loved to travel around the world to exotic places like New Zealand, Mongolia, The Galapagos Islands and The Cook Islands; visiting wineries; loved sports, especially March Madness, absolutely loved his job and anything and everything that involved his children.
A service is planned for Friday, March 15, 2013, at 4 o’clock p.m. at Turn West Designs, located at 6535 E. Cave Creek Road or call 480.595.5933 for directions.
