Marlin, aka Marty or Martine was born in Henderson, TX 07/06/1937 to Harvey A. and Lillian G. Stewart-Taylor. He served for our great country in the Marines in addition to serving as a Reservist as a Navy Seabee. He spoke of his time in Hati at Guantanamo Bay. Marlin had many jobs over his lifetime including being a welder at Allison Steel, a Crane operator in Ajo, AZ with the mining industry, he had worked in the Dairy industry, an Ambulance driver, volunteered with the Rocky Point, Mexico Search and Rescue, as well as ran a Fishing boat business. He was also an over the road Truck Driver. Marty married Judy Shobe in 1961 and during their 14 year marriage had 5 children together, Daughter Diane Irene, and sons Todd Allen, Brent Wesley, David Dwayne, and Travis Lee. He later had a son, Martin Abraham Taylor Ayon with Esparanza Ayon Rivera in Nov 1995, and he and Esparanza later married in April of 2005. They remained married throughout the rest of his life. Martine was up for most anything and loved being in the outdoors. He loved fishing on the ocean, camping outdoors with the family, he spoke of going hunting often, dancing, even singing romantic ballots if the time was right. A well know phrase that he would always say when someone leaves is "It's never good bye, it's see you later".
Services for Martine will be held at Best Funeral Services, 9380 West Peoria Ave., Peoria, AZ 85345, on March 14. Family members can arrive at 9am, friends and acquaintances at 10am, service time will be at 10:30am with a reception to follow.
