Martha Grace (Wilson) Turberville, peacefully passed away at the age of 91 on October 28th at home in Phoenix, AZ with her husband of 71 years at her bedside. Martha was born August 26, 1932, in Memphis, TN to Laurence Saunders Wilson and Faye Elizabeth (Perry) Wilson. She graduated from Whitehaven High School in Memphis, TN in 1952. Martha met her soulmate in 1948 and she and Gordon Dale Turberville were married on June 28, 1952 in Pleasant Hill, MS. Gordon’s Air Force career took them to Hanpton, VA, and San Antonio, TX before they finally settled in Phoenix, AZ in 1959. Martha was a homemaker and stay-at-home mom until she took a part time job while her children were in school at Arizona State Retirement System and then became full time once her children were in high school. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Laurence Jr., James and Leon, and her sister Mary Flaniken. She is survived by her beloved husband Gordon, her children Dale (Barbara); Geoffrey: Denise McKinney (John) and Dana Land, all of Phoenix, AZ. Additionally, she is survived by her sisters Margaret Jameson (Alfred) of Cordova, TN and Wanda Hill of Elk Grove, CA, 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Some of her favorite times were those spent with her loving family. Martha will most be remembered for her servants heart, her laughter and her smile. Her acts of service were mostly performed in a kitchen preparing and serving food. There was always a place at the table for neighbors, friends, and her children’s friends. She made everyone feel just like family. Martha was a selfless, loving, nurturing, devoted wife, mom, sister, aunt, daughter, meme, and friend.

A service to honor and celebrate Martha’s beautiful life will be held Saturday December 2nd at 10:00am @ Hillside Baptist Church, Phoenix. 1344 W Thunderbird Rd. Phoenix, AZ 85023
