Mary “Mickey” Slavik was born in Ennis Texas as Mary Lou Norton on December 2,1927 and returned home to the heavens on January 30, 2021. She was raised in Texas along with eight other siblings and is survived by her daughter and son in law Brenda and Bob Schmuck. Mickey has multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as two great-great grandchildren. She is a lover of shuffleboard, darts and was an avid bowler. She also collected several elephant figurines. Mary loved meeting new friends and always volunteered to lend a helping hand when needed. She enjoyed traveling and spending time boating at the lake with family and friends. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Mickey. She loved her family and was a true believer of enjoying her days and living life to the fullest. Grandma "Mickey" was known to spend time in the kitchen, every Christmas where she baked the most delicious chocolate pies, a huge family favorite. Mary was full of kindness and compassion, her laughter was a source of joy, and her smile was equivalent to a ray of sunshine on the brightest of days. In her younger years she had hair as dark as a raven, eyes as bright as the stars, her voice had magic and her words of wisdom unlike no other. Her cheerful pleasant ways won the hearts of many. A beautiful life and a soul now in the clouds above, who belongs to the sun, the wind and the rain and the air we breathe, looking down on us helping the sunshine rise day after day reminding us to live life to the fullest, just as she did, leaving this world loving you
