Date of Death: April 14, 2022
Pamela Joyce Self, 71 of Phoenix Arizona, passed away in her home on April 14, 2022. She is survived by her husband Lee Self. Love and collaboration were the foundation of their marriage. Pam is also survived by her mother Alice Randolph and her 2 sons, Jimmy and Matthew. Pam retired in 2013 and spent her time enjoying travel with her husband, socializing with friends, enjoying casinos, collecting turtles from her travels and writing poetry. Pam lived life to the fullest! Pam was the Queen of her Red Hats group, a member of the Elks Lodge and American Legion and truly believed all were her family. Pam could have an engaging conversation with anyone and there was nothing Pam liked better than an interesting story or conversation with a new or old friend. Pam will be missed but not forgotten. Pam was given the gift of writing and loved sharing her poetry with the world. Pam wrote this in 2017 which pays tribute to her eternal memory. God Sent Me on This Journey God sent me on this journey, I walk a lonesome road. I have my burdens and my joy, I bear a heavy load. I ask not for your sympathy; Your judgements are your own. I walk the path before me, 'Til my savior walks me home.

I am so sorry for your loss. My words cannot stop your pain but hopefully your memories can ease your grief.
Pamela, my birthday sister, beautiful lady, I miss you. It’s exciting to know that you are in heaven experiencing all of God’s glory firsthand. I will see you again, my precious friend.
Our loss cannot be measured. Pam’s contribution to our Elks Do Broadway cast made it possible for the success we all received and the funds we raised to benefit Elks Lodge 335. Her musical knowledge and singing talent will always be remembered. Sandra Macintyre.
do you know what the cause of death was.? I really would like to know
I can not believe it happened
I am still in shock
I am a member of her red hat chapter
I am so sorry for your loss. Even though I didn’t see her as often as I would have liked, every time I did see her she was always so full of joy. Every time I think of Pam, I can hear her tell her southern ladies joke. She did that to perfection! I will miss her so very much!
Pamela was a beautiful lady, inside and out. She made people smile in the worst situations. Her glow showed to everyone. She was a strong person if you ever needed a shoulder to cry on. Pamela’s strength and beauty are now watching over us from Heaven. I’ll miss you, Pamela.
