Patricia K. (“Pat”) Schweikert of Phoenix, Arizona passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022, at the age of 93. Pat was born in 1928 to James & Marcella Johnson in Monterey Park, Ca, the youngest of four children. She graduated from UCLA where she majored in Physical Education. Pat was married to Thomas A. Schweikert until his passing in 1990. They had five children: Kathryn, Thomas, James, Mary and Steven and raised their children in Connecticut. Pat played the clarinet and piano. She always enjoyed interacting with friends- singing, and dancing. Performing was in her blood. Pat was a devout Catholic and attended mass regularly for her entire life. In her younger years, she enjoyed tennis and competitive bowling. Pat often played piano for many in her community who gathered around her to listen and sing along. Pat was a gifted artist and had many pieces of her artwork on display. She loved to write and publish poetry, was a competitor in the bean-bag toss and in bingo tournaments. She enjoyed yoga, tai chi and aerobic activities. She especially loved laughter-filled holiday celebrations with her family. Pat was predeceased by her husband Thomas, her daughter Kathryn and her three siblings, Lorraine, James, and William. Pat is survived by her daughter, Mary of Arizona and three sons, Jim (Martie) of Arizona, Steve (Holly) of Arizona, and Tom of California. And, by grandchildren Garrett (Michelle), Erica (Cole), Rob (Gina), Ben (Sara), Kira, and great-grandchildren, Jackson, Erin, Peyton, and Brooklyn. She was very much looking forward to meeting her newest great-granddaughter. A memorial service will be held at Blessed Sacrament Roman Catholic Church in Scottsdale, AZ on October 6, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. As Pat wished, she will be interred at The Mission San Luis Rey Catholic Cemetery in Oceanside, CA.

So sorry to hear about Aunt Pat’s passing. Blessed she is “home” with her sisters and brother. Her and Lorraine can actually hear each other now…Praying for God’s peace an comfort for you all.
