Date of Birth: July 24, 1939
Date of Death: June 13, 2021
Patricia “Pat” Holverson went to be with the Lord on June 13, 2021. She was born on July 24, 1939 to William and Josephine Bass in Worthington, Minnesota. Pat graduated from Oxnard High School in 1957 and then studied at Knapp School of Nursing in Santa Barbara. She became a registered nurse, graduating in 1960. Pat married the love of her life, Dallas Holverson, on February 7, 1959 in an unusual ceremony at Belinda Hospital in Oxnard, California. Having planned a church wedding, Pat’s parents were involved in an accident, leaving them both hospitalized. So instead of postponing the wedding, the wedding came to the hospital grounds, complete with a full wedding party and over 100 guests in attendance. Pat and Dallas remained devoted to each other until his death on October 21, 2016, after 57 years of marriage. Pat worked alongside family practitioner, Dr. J. Keith Mason, at his practice in Saticoy, California for over 46 years. “Nurse Pat” as she was affectionately known by her patients, was the “go to” person for not only medical questions, but as a confidant and friend. Patricia is survived by three children: Dallas (Nancy) W. Holverson, Deanne (Stephen) Ball, and Dalynn Holverson (who lovingly cared for mom over the last years of her life). Also surviving are grandchildren: Amanda Ferrell, Seamus Meehan, Michael (Brittni) Holverson and Michaela Rupp. Great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Adelaide and Evangeline Holverson. Preceding her in death are Dallas E. Holverson (spouse) and her parents: William and Josephine Bass.
Service Information
At Patricia’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at a later date.
