Robert McCormick lived life by his own damn rules. He was a salty old guy, loved by many and misunderstood by others. He had strong opinions, loved beer, beefeater martinis and was immensely proud of his five children, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandkids. No one could believe such a unique man could produce such a wiley, kind bunch. He drove semi's for the last 20 years of his working career and bragged that he never had a "chargeable offense". Much to the consternation of others, he drove his Ford Ranger pick up to the "breakfast club" every day he damn well pleased, which was until his 89th birthday. He was loved for all his strong independent ways. We will miss hanging out with him, shooting the breeze, while he enjoyed one of his famous cigars while wearing his overalls and Navy Seabees hat. This man was loved.
