Date of Birth: March 26, 1932
Date of Death: January 21, 2021
Rosa (Rose) DeBenny, father Vincenzo Scudiero, mother Maria Carmela Panico passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday 1-21-21 at the Desert Winds Assistant Living Center in Peoria AZ. Rose had two sons, Joseph (Kristen), and Peter (Linnet) DeBenny, and 5 grandchildren, Jillian, Anthony, Aria, Joey, and Anielle, and three great-granddaughters, Gianna Rose. Analia Marie, and Adelaide Kristen. Rose was the middle child of three sisters who grow up on Lexington street in Chicago. She married Joesph James DeBenny on August 13th, 1955 at the age of 23. They lived on the west side of the city until 1966 then moved to Elmhurst for ten years. From there they moved to Desplaines, Elk Grove, Lake Geneva, then eventually to Peoria AZ. Rose loved to cook and chase her boys around with a wooden spoon if they got out of hand. She enjoyed being a homemaker, and businesswoman at a collectible shop called Stones on the Square in Woodstock, IL. Rose also loved dogs, gardening, slot machines, hanging out with her sisters, travel, collectables, and dancing. She was a loving mother, wife, and grandma that had a quick wit and kind demeanor that always made her a positive person, even up until her death. The family will miss her greatly but we seem to have her sense of cooking flare that she was so famous for. With all our love our family can give mom, we will never forget the good times and beauty of your motherhood. Rest in peace and we look forward to seeing you again with Dad by your side.
