Date of Birth: July 02, 1984
Date of Death: June 02, 2021
We are heartbroken to announce that our amazing son, Russell Wayne Schacherer passed away unexpectedly on June 2, 2021. He was just one month away from his 37th birthday. Russell was born July 2, 1984 in Phoenix, AZ to loving parents Darron and Beverly Schacherer. Russell was a smart, talented child who developed a passion for music, computers and skateboarding while in middle school. He graduated from Mountain Ridge High School in 2002. He began his career at Safeway after being hired as a bag boy. He worked his way up to front-end store manager, earning customer service awards and the love and respect of his bosses, coworkers and customers. During his 19 years with Safeway/Albertsons, Russell maintained a strong work ethic and was selected for the IT training team, eventually being promoted to IT technician II. Russell played guitar and banjo in several local bands over the years. His band Makeshift Skyline enjoyed some success playing at venues and recording their alt-country style music. Russ enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. In his spare time he liked to camp and fish at Lake Pleasant, cheer on the Phoenix Suns, create and maintain his Bitcoin mining machines and he recently began recording Russman Reviews on YouTube. He was a patient and kind listener to his sister and friends, a watchful protector of his little brother and a fun-loving uncle to his neice and nephew. Russell's personality was larger than life and he touched everyone with his sense of humor, compassion and generosity. Besides his parents, Russell leaves behind his grandparents Norma Bankowski, Alan and Davelle Boettcher, sisters Katherine and Stacia Schacherer, brother Darron J. Schacherer (DJ), neice Aimee Schacherer and nephew Liam Schacherer, friends Justin Wall and Tara Moyers as well as aunts, uncles, cousins and many awesome friends and coworkers. We are so proud of you Russell. Rest in Peace, son. May God Bless you Now and Forever. Our hearts ache to see you again. Leave the light on for us.
