Date of Birth: October 26, 1934
Date of Death: April 11, 2021
Born to Salvatore Cino and Josephine Infantino-Cino, Salvatore J. Cino was a loving father to Matthew Cino and three grandchildren, Domenique, Tyler and Isaac Cino. The youngest of 8 children, Salvatore, also known as Sammy, was well loved by his family and his two surviving sisters, Ida and Mary. Throughout his lifetime, Salvatore was a member of many organizations. First and foremost, Salvatore was very dedicated to God and serving the Catholic Church. In his retirement, he was active in organizations that included the Knights of Columbus, the Italian Club of Phoenix, the Peoria Senior Center and the Banner Senior Center in Sun City. A testament to his personality, he had many friends and used his good conversational skills in his profession as a barber. Earlier in life, he was particularly proud of his charitable work along the Mexican-American border delivering donations to Mexican orphanages and using his skills to give free haircuts to the children. As a beloved hobby, Salvatore appreciated music, especially opera, and frequently sang in the church choir. Complimenting his Italian heritage, he was also a life-long learner taking classes at community colleges, especially enjoying the studying and the practicing of the Spanish language. He had a passion for the natural outdoors and for good conversation, and he will be missed by his family and friends. God bless the soul of Salvatore Cino as he returns to be with his family and to be in God’s presence.
