Suzanne Sullivan, Sue, a Valley resident for 78 years, was born April 22, 1936 in Rochester, Indiana and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 31, 2022 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona. She spent her early childhood in Brooke, Indiana and moved to Goodyear, Arizona when she was eight. She graduated from Litchfield High School and went on to Northern Arizona University. She met her true love, Cliff Sullivan, on a blind date and they were married on Valentine’s Day 1957. They made their home in Phoenix for the next 65 years. She is survived by her husband Cliff and her four children Cathy Sullivan, Christine “Christy” Agosta, Kenny Sullivan, Keith Sullivan (Heather); eight grandchildren, Daniel and Karen, Leah and Alex, Shaun and Jenna, and Katie and Dylan; three and ½ great-grandchildren; sister Dian Gilmore and brother Paul Browning. She was preceded in death by her brother Dick Hess. Sue was a devoted wife and mother who lived for her family. Her life was filled with many activities including tennis, children’s ministry at Bethany Bible Church, Joint Heirs Bible Study at Palmcroft Church, Christown Women’s Bible Study, Alvilla Little League, raising AKC poodles and German Shepherds, and gardening – she especially loved her Star Jasmine and Sweet Peas. Sue was a warm and outgoing woman who never went anywhere without running into an old friend. She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
