Thomas Patrick Meehan (Tom) of Mesa, Arizona passed away on September 11, 2023 at the age of 80 surrounded by his loved ones. Tom was born on September 15, 1942 in Detroit Michigan to William and Dorothy Williamson(Meehan) and attended Cody High School in Detroit. Tom began his career in Chrysler Automotive in 1964 working in the skilled trades department. He retired after 29 years of work and moved to Scottsdale Arizona at the age of 50. Growing up Tom had a great love for sports. He was an avid swimmer, diver, golfer and pool player. He was a die hard Red Wings Hockey and Michigan Wolverines fan. He enjoyed spending time with family, reading, gambling, a cold Budweiser and a good scotch. Later in life, he accomplished his biggest goal where he had two holes in one and was featured in the Mesa Newspaper. He also found Facebook where he was known to make many laugh, feel pretty with his sweet compliments, also known to ruffle a few feathers lol. He liked to poke the bear, we can call it! Tom was married to two wonderful ladies throughout his life and divorced. He is survived by his five children; Thomas (Sharyn) Meehan, Lorie (Roy) Temple, Colleen (Braun) Jones, Patricia (Brian) Sylvain, and Chelsea (Marcus) Ruppel. Grandchildren; Shawna Maresco, Dakota Temple, Michaela (Todd) Wolverton, Morgan Mobley. Jack Mobley, and Dylan Huber Step grandchildren; Paige (Ben) Thomas-Zamora, Marya Mobley, Sienna Dowdy, Brendon Jones, Aidan Jones, Rebecca (Ryan) Morley, Justin Sylvain, Emma Sylvain, Jarrett Bain, Cortney Bain, Mariah Bain. Dear Brother to Joyce Meehan, Barb (Cecil) Meehan-Newton and Patricia Meehan. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bill and John, and son in law Stephen Mobley.
Service Information
An Arizona Memorial Service will take place at SS. Simon & Jude Church on November 17, 2023 @ 10am. SS. Simon & Jude 6351 North 27th Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85017 https://simonjude.org/ A Michigan Memorial Service will take place next summer 2024 - still to be determined.

I would like to send my condolences to his family. I was a friend of Tommys in the late 80s early 90s – We had a lot of laughs together and yes he was a good golfer and pool shark. –
